A Legacy of Giving: 70 Years of Community at Workers

When Workers Lifestyle Group first opened its doors more than seven decades ago, it wasn’t just a place
to gather, it was a promise. A promise that the club would be more than bricks and mortar, more
than dining and dancing. It would stand as a cornerstone for the people of Blacktown and Western
Sydney. 

That promise has echoed across generations. Over the past 70 years, Workers has poured millions
of dollars back into the community, supporting sporting clubs, schools, health services, cultural groups and grassroots charities that form the fabric of everyday life.

Workers Lifestyle Group has taken a leading role in the Western Sydney community campaign against type 2 diabetes, Western Sydney Changing Diabetes. Workers was at the forefront of launching the 2kg Challenge to its members, their families and guests. Workers has given $40,ooo in 2025-26 to the 2kg Challenge to promote diabetes prevention through achievable lifestyle changes.
